Abstract: Siemens is a leading global provider of industrial software and industry automation solutions developed in its Divisions “Digital Factory” and “Process Industries and Drives”. Modern software development relies increasingly on Open Source Software. His presentation will give you an overview about selected practical legal challenges of using OSS in a multinational organization.
Speaker: Felix Mannewitz is a Legal Counsel at Siemens and manages the Open Source Software Clearing operations for the Divisions Digital Factory and Process Industries and Drives. He graduated from the University of Regensburg and worked for a law firm before joining Siemens in 2013. Besides being an attorney, he is experienced in programming as well as database and system administration.
