“Wissenschaftlicher Anspruch”
Professors often talk about “wissenschaftlicher Anspruch” (scientific aspiration) of final theses. We explain what this means at https://osr.cs.fau.de/theses/thesis-deliverables/wissenschaftlicher-anspruch/
Lectures on Youtube
We are recording our courses (to the extent possible) and are putting them on Youtube. Please check out our channel and subscribe to it at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClBQfcW1k0PWn_450Gpu6vw
Upcoming startups
We are still looking for a product manager and a software engineer to join Uni1, see http://uni1.de. This is your chance to get in on the ground floor and live the startup life! Uni1 has has paying customers and is about to raise a first round of funds. If you still need to write your final thesis, we can support you with this. Please talk to me (Riehle) for more information.
Studying in China
Again, we have China on our mind. FAU would like to improve its China competence, so if you have thoughts on how we should collaborate with Chinese universities, let us know. Also, if you would like to go and study or work with a Professor for your thesis at one of our Chinese partner universities, let us know!
Letter to stakeholders
If you are curious about our research group and its results, we just published our annual letter to stakeholders. It may be of interest to you if you’d like to get an idea of how science and universities work. Learn more at https://osr.cs.fau.de/2016/12/12/the-2016-year-end-letter-to-stakeholders/
