We are pleased to announce the upcoming exclusive industry talk for our students on “Agile Development – Challenges and Pitfalls” in AMOS, our agile methods course.

  • by: Mr. Simon Rehwald, Itestra
  • about: Agile Development – Challenges and Pitfalls
  • on: June 26th, 2024, 10:15 Uhr
  • as part of: AMOS

Abstract: Agile methods such as SCRUM have become standard in software development at many companies. However, their widespread use entails misinterpretations: Instead of the original focus on the production of useful executable software by flexible teams, some projects are dominated by rigid processes, overhead due to small-scale sprint planning and a lack of objectives. The talk presents practical examples from various companies to show which agile elements make sense in which context, possible pitfalls and alternatives.

Speaker: Simon holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Before joining itestra, a leading software development and consulting firm specializing in critical business systems, he served as a software developer in a mid-sized German mechanical engineering company and gained valuable experience as a student researcher. Simon seamlessly merges his academic background with practical industry insights, contributing to innovative solutions.
