Abstract: Agile Software Development is transforming the way Software Defined Vehicles are engineered, enabling faster innovation, continuous delivery, and improved quality. However, applying agile principles in the automotive domain comes with unique challenges, including safety critical requirements, regulatory constraints, and complex system dependencies. This talk explores how agile practices can be effectively adapted to the needs of SDV development, bridging the gap between traditional engineering and modern software approaches. It highlights key enablers such as CI CD, virtualization, and cross functional collaboration. Attendees will gain practical insights into scaling agility, improving feedback loops, and building resilient software platforms that support the continuous evolution of vehicles.
Speaker: Dr. Fatih Tekin is a PhD graduate in theoretical physics and works in the automotive industry as an expert in software development and Software Defined Vehicles. Before focusing on automotive, he gained experience in aeronautics, rail, and healthcare, building a broad foundation across safety critical domains. Over the years, he has contributed to complex software platforms, testing strategies, and governance topics. He is the founder and host of the SDV Coffee Talk series, engaging with international experts on the future of software defined vehicles. His passion lies in connecting deep technical understanding with practical execution, while promoting knowledge sharing, mentoring, and modern engineering practices.
