Abstract: Conflict arises from various sources, but the result is mostly the same, friction. When the goal is an agile, self organising team that takes ownership, conflict can be what grinds the gears. Agile and Scrum Values point towards a proficient tool set for handling conflict. In this talk, we are learning about the rise of conflict and how to manage it with an agile mindset in order to find agreement within the team. Adjunct to this topic, we will also discuss handling feedback, as productive feedback often is one way to make situations of conflict unlikely in the future.

Speaker: Growing up in the black forest, Dr. Skodzek developed an admiration for the beauty of nature. Later on after moving to Franconia, he committed to studying Physics, specialising in Bio-Physics. Very fortunately, Dr. Skodzek got offered a PhD programme in Edinburgh, Scotland. He fell in love with the very communicative way over there and also the interdisciplinary focus of my institute (IB3, Heriot-Watt University). Yet, it was not easy to find entry into the job market after this. After participating in a coaching program and extensive personal work, he learned about my suitability in becoming a Scrum Master/ Agile Coach.
