Abstract: Scaling up the number of teams working on one product is a challenge, especially if the underlying motivation is to reduce the time to market. In this industry talk we present two consecutive software projects in which a scaling from two to three Scrum teams was carried out, and what practical experience we have gained. We’ll show what cost us performance the first time we tried, and how we solved this in the second approach. Based on this experience we will introduce some Dos and Don’ts we’ve learned for practical usage in software projects.

Speaker: Dr. Daniel is founder and CEO of Qupe, a software engineering and consulting company located in Zirndorf. Beside managing Qupe, he works as technical project lead and management consultant in large industrial software projects. Dr. Daniel has a strong software engineering background and loves to convey the importance of quality assurance on all aspects of software development. Based on his scientific background, Dr. Daniel taught Software Engineering at the FOM for many years. He holds a Dipl-Inf from the University of Stuttgart and a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich.
