Abstract: Leading change is one of the most important responsibilities of an agile coach. But leading change in an organization is also one of the most difficult things, because you mostly have to change the behavior of others. And people just don’t like to be changed. They like improvements, but not enforced change. How do you approach a change? What is the difference between a change and an actual achieved improvement?

During this interactive session, you’ll learn the difference between leading change and accelerating improvements. You’ll learn the most important scientific models behind change, learn how to change the secret habits in the organization and take home several tangible tips on how you can start accelerating improvements tomorrow.

Speaker: Peter Koning is author of the book “Agile Leadership Toolkit” (also available in German: “Toolkit für agile Führingskräfte”). He has over 15 years of experience with agile and leading change in many organizations. He founded Re:Lead Consultancy Refreshing Leadership and is mostly working as an agile interim manager or interim CIO. His passion is to create organizations where people and teams thrive. Today’s world of faster change and experts doing the actual job requires a new type of leadership that does not focus on resources and optimizing efficiency. Instead, it calls for organizations with large scale effective creativity where teams collaborate on improving the customer impact. With his trainings, book and workshops, Peter helps leaders create these great environments for teams to thrive.
