Abstract: There is a revolution in artificial intelligence, where computers are being used to create data-derived models with better predictive accuracy than humans. The result is an explosive convergence of new and existing technologies that are already being used in scientific applications or hyper-scale data centres. The result is AI-based decisions that are autonomous and informed and demanded greater and more complex challenges. This talk will provide insights into the current state of the art, scientific and industrial application scenarios, challenges, and opportunities.
Speaker: Heiko Joerg Schick is a Chief Architect for Huawei Technologies, a leading global provider of information and communication technology. His expertise in artificial intelligence, novel computer architectures, and heterogeneous computing has helped Huawei become a global leader in developing technologies that will shape the modern world for years to come.
